Committed to Providing You With Fast, Lasting Relief
In 1998 the physicians of the esteemed Lake Centre for Orthopaedics expanded their practice to become Florida Musculoskeletal Institute, a comprehensive orthopedic care center offering an unparalleled range of allied healthcare services to people suffering from bone, muscle and joint pain. FMI’s doctors and staff are trained in the most advanced and well-established treatments and technologies to create a pioneering, interdisciplinary approach to next-level orthopaedic care.
Feeling better for a little while is never enough.
From Surgery to Smarter, Non-Surgical Care
After years of surgical practice, Florida Musculoskeletal Institute has intentionally evolved—shifting from an operative model to a focused, non-surgical approach rooted in experience, precision, and patient-centered outcomes.
This isn’t about doing less. It’s about doing what’s right.
With a deep understanding of when surgery is necessary—and when it’s not—our approach is designed to help patients avoid unnecessary procedures, reduce pain, and restore function through advanced, evidence-based, non-surgical care.
We specialize in treating bone, muscle, and joint conditions using targeted diagnostics, regenerative therapies, and personalized treatment plans that support the body’s natural healing process. Every plan is built around the individual—how you move, how you live, and what recovery truly means for you.
What makes our model different is our commitment to continuity of care. Through integrated care coordination and care management, we guide patients beyond the visit—supporting treatment adherence, recovery progression, and long-term outcomes.
As medicine continues to evolve, so do we. Our practice is committed to continuously integrating the latest advancements, therapies, and evidence-based approaches to ensure our patients receive the most current and effective care available.
Regenerative Medicine, With Purpose
We incorporate therapies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to enhance healing—used thoughtfully, not routinely, and always based on what will truly benefit the patient.
At FMI, our philosophy is simple:
The best surgery is the one you don’t need.
We measure success not by procedures performed, but by patients who regain movement, avoid unnecessary interventions, and return to living fully.
